How we DIDN`T meet with Nick Vujicic.

After my birthday I`ve got a very cool message from my friend. That message said that Nick Vujicic will arrive to St. Petersburg on March 29. I guess you all know who is Nick Vujicic: a man who was born without arms and legs, very strong in spirit, overcome his despair, inspiring millions of people worldwide, Christian preacher, writer and speaker. 7 years ago I watched a video about Nick and he fascinated me. It was hard to believe that person who was born with so serious physical defect can be so happy and cheerful. I promised myself that I will meet Nick in person. I was waiting for this meeting 7 years, I was waiting for Nick in Russia, I even wrote him on Facebook and 4 months ago his manager answered me that they think about visiting Russia! I wanted to meet with this adorable person so much and when I`ve known that Nick will be in St. Petersburg soon, I was veeeeeery happy! What can be better than the time when your dreams come true? I just had to buy a book with special sticker which was a "ticket" for this meeting with Nick. Yaaaaahoooo!

I have bought a book in two weeks prior to the meeting. This is a book and special sticker.

Our famous Russian bookstore BUKVOED which took a responsibility for the organization of meeting with Nick, gave a guarantee that everyone who will have this book with sticker will get on this action obviously. Yes, we knew that the quantity of seats is limitated in the hall but nobody said that Bukvoed is gonna sell not 1000 books (1000 seats are in the hall) but much more. The same as to sell 200 tickets for the performance in theater and then allow to watch it only to 100 people because there was no place for 200.

We were outside almost 2 hours. The weather was very windy and cold. We hadn`t an opportunity to come inside. Anybody didn`t give the distinct answers on our questions, security offended us, nobody wanted even to explain what happens and why everything is so bad. I have seen kids, disabled people and elderly people in the crowd. Nobody could come inside. Only those people who came to Bukvoed at 3-4 o`clock earlier than meeting had to be begun, could meet Nick Vujicic. In what country people come to the action earlier on 3-4 hours? Yes, only in Russia. Only here it`s possible.

We couldn`t see even the screen. Later I have known that spaciousness of the hall was only 700 seats but not 1000. 300 people or even less could see Nick and other people who had tickets couldn`t do it. Bukvoed got lots of money for books with stickers and didn`t keep its promise even for 50%!

I was in a crowd with people who were made a fool as me and my rage has increased. No, I love Nick and I love his books, I don`t regret that I`ve bought a book "Stand strong" but I am awfully upset that I didn`t get also that what was promised in addition. A woman with little daughter was near us and that kid felt very bad (I think she wasn`t healthy). Security didn`t pass a girl inside and it was enough free place there. I have no words.

I am very upset. Nick Vujicic came to St. Petersburg, I was waiting for him so long and couldn`t get a chance to see him. Sometimes dreams don`t come true. The worst thing here is that they don`t come true because of other people! It wasn`t our fault that we couldn`t see Nick, it was a fault of organizers of the meeting. I even don`t wanna think what disabled children who were with us in the crowd feel now. Maybe it was their only chance to see Nick, to get a special inspiration from him, a special support. And Bukvoed deprived it of them. Everybody cares only of money, not of people`s feelings.

I believe that I`ll see Nick in person. My dream is not broken. And I hope he will never contact Bukvoed anymore because it is not capable to make a good organization. This is Russia. Lie, dirt, theft, impudence-all this makes this country. I was very disappointed yesterday but I hope the next meeting with Nick will be much better.

If you know Russian, watch this video. It will explain everything about event.
